Three Year Olds

Our Three Year Old Program offers the children an opportunity to transition from home to school in a caring and stimulating atmosphere. The activities and child-led philosophy allow the children to learn important social and self-help skills with a focus on kindness and collaboration. Each day, the program is designed with child-led activities, including offerings of art, sensory experiences, music and literature. Extensive outdoor time, in all weather, exploring the outdoor classroom, trails and playground is an integral part of the three year old experience.

Four Year Olds

Our Four Year Old Program offers the children an opportunity to grow and build upon their developing skills as members of a classroom community. Through continued hands-on exploration and play, the children are exposed to a variety of experiences as they embark on their journey of learning. Collaboration and relationships will play an important role in building community. Through child led play our four year old students will have opportunities to develop the skills necessary to be successful in their future learning experiences. Extensive experiences outdoors will offer continued growth of whole body development while the students explore the trails, outdoor classrooms and playground in all weather.

Kindergarten
MONDAY - THURSDAY • 8:45 A.M. - 2:45 P.M.

The Amherst Preschool Kindergarten program is a play-based blend of learning standards for Kindergarten students include math, science/engineering, social studies and balanced literacy. Open-ended art experiences, exploratory opportunities, collaborative work and what we value most at Let’s Grow Outside NH, the social and emotional work of young children. Students lead their learning journey while teachers design an environment to promote growth for each learner. This program is wrapped warmly in extensive outdoor experiences practicing whole body development, the appreciation of nature and community through place based education. The yurt classroom is designed for small group work, quiet spaces for independent time and with the freedom of play as an important part of the explorative learning process. The children experience the outdoors in all weather, consistent with the Let’s Grow Outside NH philosophy.
