PONEMAH FOREST SCHOOL
Ponemah Forest School is our newest campus, located at the Hampshire Hills Athletic Complex, and offers the same philosophy and leadership as our other two schools. Through nature-based learning and outdoor play, children are given the space and support to explore, grow, and thrive in a forest setting.
Preschool
Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays
8:30-11:30 am
Optional Fridays 8 am- 2 pm
September-June
This part-time program allows even more children to experience our proven philosophy on the beautiful Hampshire Hills campus. With an emphasis on unstructured play in both the forest and a cozy indoor classroom, the program supports social-emotional growth while fostering confidence, independence, and a love of learning.

We are thrilled to once again offer a kindergarten program through LGONH! The new program at Ponemah Forest School allows students to continue their journey beyond preschool while remaining rooted in our Reggio-inspired, play-based forest school philosophy.
As in our preschool programs, kindergarten does not follow a predetermined, teacher-led curriculum. Instead, educators thoughtfully design environments rich in materials that spark children’s interests, deepen their thinking, and nurture their growth. By closely observing and documenting play, teachers reflect on each child’s learning and intentionally support their next steps. As with all of our programs, unstructured outdoor play remains at the heart of the kindergarten experience.
